Which EU country spends more on alcohol
The average indicator of “alcohol consumption” in the European Union was 1.6%. And most of all efforts were made by Estonia.
The share of expenses for alcohol of an average Estonian household is 5.2%, and this is the largest indicator in the EU, Eurostat reported.
There are also many connoisseurs of strong drinks in Latvia (4.9%), Lithuania (4%), Poland (3.5%), the Czech Republic (3.3%), Hungary (3%) and Finland (2.8%). Note that these figures are higher than the average European spending on alcohol.
The least willing to spend money on alcohol in Spain (0.8%), Italy and Greece (0.9%).
