Purcari Winery to be awarded for special merits in viniculture
The Purcari Winery will be awarded the main prize – 2012 for special merits in the wine-making and vine-growing field, according to a decision taken by the Government at its ordinary meeting held on Wednesday.
Moldovan Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry said at the meeting that the choice was made by a special commission, which decided that the winery meets all the requirements for this prize.
“This is a private company, created in 2003. At present, it has a modern winery and vineyards that cover an area of 245.7 hectares. The investments made 112 million lei, including 5.9 million lei in 2011. Last year, the enterprise took part in ten exhibitions and contests and won 12 medals, including 5 gold medals,” said Bumacov.
Infotag’s dossier: The company’s profit in 2011 made 6.1 million lei, with a level of profitability of 13% and an overall costs of assets of 159 million lei. In a year, the enterprise produce was estimated at 35.8 million lei. The trade turnover made 47.5 million lei, including 16.3 million lei from export. The company supplies wines to Romania, France, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, the USA, Japan and China.
