The best homemade wines of this year are identified.

In the framework of the National Wine Day, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova summed up the XV competition for the best home-made wine Polobocul de aur-2017 (“Golden Barrel-2017”).

This year, domestic winemakers submitted more than 500 samples to the competition, – said the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova Sergiu Kharya. – Of these, 104 came to the final tasting, where eight were recognized as winners in various categories. In total, over fifteen years, the jury members have tested approximately 8,000 samples, 150 of which became laureates, ”mybusiness.md reports.

In 2017, the award – 100-liter barrels received:

– in the nomination “Young wine from grapes of technical varieties” (white) – Arkhip Tudor, p. Sadovo, district Calarasi;

– in the nomination “Young wine from grapes of technical varieties” (red) – Tudor Sheptelic, Ungheni;

– in the nomination “Young wine from grapes of technical varieties” (rose) – Pokhilenko Andrey, Kaushany;

– in the nomination “Young wine from hybrid varieties” (red) – Suruchanu Valentin, p. Kozhushna, Straseni district;

– in the nomination “Domestic wine over one year old” (white) – Timorhei Pogor, p. Vasieny, Ialovensky district;

– in the nomination “Home-made wine over one year old” (red) – Mese Ivan, Ceadir-Lunga;

– in the nomination “Dessert wine” (white) – Sava Mikhail, p. Kosteshty, Ialovensky district;

– in the nomination “Dessert wine” (red) – Nikolenko Ion, Kaushany.
