International Congress “Wine and Gastronomic Tourism of Eurasia”.
For the first time in Russia, despite the difficult situation associated with the current restrictions on preventing the spread of coronavirus infection, on April 15 at VDNKh in pavilion 10, the jubilee international competition EURASIA WINE & SPIRITS COMPETITION (EAWSC) 2021 was held, with the accordance to the rules of the international organization OIV.
Under the patronage of the Eurasian Wines Quality Center ANO, co-organizers of the Moldovan company PPE srl, with the assistance and support of the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Tourism Development Center Foundation and the team of ArbiAy Group LLC, the competition was held at a high level and received the highest marks from all participants … The wine-making industry is actively developing in Russia, the number of new promising wineries is growing rapidly. From year to year, the quality of wines is improving and the tourist infrastructure of wine farms is developing.
Winemakers are ready to organize related production and service – farms, restaurants, guest houses and hotels, museums, wine and gastronomic workshops, health promotion services using wine products. Therefore, as never before, holding such a competition in Moscow was very relevant and timely.
The competition was attended by 299 samples of high quality wines from 75 companies from around the world.
The high status of this independent professional competition is confirmed, first of all, by the composition of the tasting committee, which includes the best tasters from countries such as Russia, Georgia, USA, Moldova, Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, headed by the Chairman of the Commission – Vladimir Evgenievich Tsapelik, an expert with many years of experience in participating in international competitions in Europe and the USA.
Georgy Nikolaevich Arpentin (Moldova), an outstanding international expert, was sent as an observer from the International Organization OIV.
Winning countries: Russian Federation, Hungary, Austria, Moldova, Azerbaijan, South Africa, Italy, Georgia, New Zealand, Portugal, France.
The wines that won the competition are awarded medals and are entitled to attend a permanent exhibition throughout the year. And they will participate in all events held by the Center for the Quality of Eurasian Wines, and also have the right to be represented in retail chains and tasting Centers both in the Russian Federation and in the EAEU countries.
Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the representative from the Moldavian side – Maria Lobodyuk, the Chairman of the tasting commission – Tsapelik Vladimir Evgenievich, the team of ArBeAy Group LLC – Russia, the competition went very smoothly and constructively, in full accordance with the program, the culture of production and wine tasting.
The main gold medals were awarded to the wines of the KVINT company (Moldova), Inkerman (Russia), the wine Negre de Mileștii Mici – Negre (Milestii Mich), Cognac Rulle Kade H.O from Ladoga (Russia) and Demetervin (Hungary). - 3 grand gold
- 40 gold medals
- 39 silver medals.
The organizers of the Competition express special gratitude to the representative of the international organization of grapes and wine OIV, Mr. Georgy Arpentin, international expert Arkady Andronic and Maria Lobodyuk, for the invaluable assistance they provided in the preparation and holding of the anniversary International competition EURASIA WINE & SPIRITS COMPETITION (EAWSC) 2021, and also other Moldovan colleagues, technical specialists of Deeplace SRL, who remotely in real time helped in the competition.
The wines that won the competition have the right to attend the permanent exhibition of VDNH in pavilion 10 throughout the year and participate in all events held by the Center for the Quality of Eurasian Wines.
The culmination of the jubilee International Competition EURASIA WINE & SPIRITS COMPETITION (EAWSC) 2021 was the opening of a quality center for Eurasian wines with a permanent exhibition of winemakers from Russia and Eurasia.
