To equate domestic wine with agricultural products
The deputy head of Roskachestvo, Ilya Loevsky, proposed to equate domestic wine with agricultural products. According to him, the organization has long been negotiating with Rosalkogolregulirovanie and the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) on this topic.
“Wine, of course, is an alcoholic drink, but all over the world it is an agricultural product, and this is a completely different regulation and other requirements,” Loevsky told reporters after a tour of the Massandra winery on August 8.
According to him, wine should become an agricultural product and have appropriate preferences, including in terms of advertising. Loevsky believes that this will promote high-quality domestic products, notes RIA Novosti.
On August 6, the Roskachestvo recommended choosing wine from Russian grapes, since for the same price it will be higher quality than wine made from imported raw materials.
It was noted that in order to find a Russian drink, it is necessary to find on the label the inscription “Wine of a protected geographical indication” (PGI) or “Wine of a protected appellation of origin” (ZNMP).
