Wine trips to Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova and Uzbekistan were called the best enogastronomic tours to neighboring countries in the fall of 2019. The rating was compiled by TurStat portal.
In compiling the list, experts evaluated not only the popularity, but also the uniqueness of the events.
The list was headed by the “Pomegranate Celebration”, which will be held in Azerbaijani Goychay from October 26 to November 7. His program includes a fair of pomegranates and pomegranate juice, dishes of Azerbaijani cuisine, performances of folklore ensembles.
On 5 October, the Telavino-2019 Wine Festival will be held at the Telavi History Museum in Kakheti (Georgia). In addition to different varieties of Georgian wines and national cuisine, guests will be offered thematic fairs and expositions on ethnography.
The same day, a nationwide wine festival will begin in the Armenian village of Areni. The program as a whole is the same: wine and national dishes. The bonus will be master classes from Armenian winemakers.
On October 5 and 6, a whole Wine City will be built in Moldova. He will appear on the square of the Great National Assembly in Chisinau.
And in Tashkent in late November will host the festival “The Art of Winemaking.” Guests will be shown and given the opportunity to try local wines, and will conduct master classes from winemakers. The festival will be attended by participants in the scientific and technical conference “Innovative technologies in winemaking and viticulture.”
